1. The tank ring beam is in-filled with concrete or compacted sand to within 200-300mm of the top of the beam, a RAWSEAL® TR35 fillet is bedded in Rawpaste Mastic at the 90° angle around the circumference of the tank.

2. The RAWMAT® HDB membrane is laid across the concrete/sand floor within the ring beam.

3. The rolls of RAWMAT® HDB are laid and overlapped following the lap lines marked on the rolls.

4. The tank base is covered fully with the RAWMAT® HDB membrane and sealed to the ring beam.

5. Once sealed to the tell-tale an additional patch of RAWMAT® HDB is sealed to pipe and the main sheet of RAWMAT® HDB then sealed further with Rawpaste mastic.

6. The sealed pipe provides protection against uncontrolled leakage at the pipes.

7. The 150mm overlaps between the sheets are sealed by the application of Rawpaste Mastic to the black geotextile before sealing the joint.

8. Once all overlaps have been sealed and tell-tales secured the tank base is ready for the placement of the backfill.

9. 200-300mm of compacted sand is placed over the RAWMAT® HDB membrane prior to the placement of the bitsand layer and the tank base plate.
