1. The tank requiring a replacement floor had an access hatch cut in the side and letterbox cuts around the base of the tank above the line of the support flange for the new floor.
2. Rawpaste mastic is applied to the vertical face of the tank wall around the edge of the existing floor and RAWSEAL® TR35 fillet placed to remove the 90° angle. The tell-tale pile was wrapped with RAWSEAL® TR35.
3. RAWMAT® HDB membrane is laid across the existing floor of the tank, turned over the TR35 fillet and vertically up the wall of the tank to the underside of the new floor support flange, the tell-tales sealed tightly with Rawpaste Mastic.
4. RAWMAT® HDB sheets are laid with white geotextile side down and black woven side uppermost. Overlaps formed by peeling the clay core off the white geotextile and Rawpaste Mastic applied to the 150mm joint.
5. All sheets are overlapped to form a complete seal to the existing base of the tank. The black geotextile side will allow the bentonite to bond and form an impermeable seal with the concrete confining layer.
6. Concrete is poured 150mm thick across the RAWMAT® HDB membrane up to within 100mm of the underside of the new tank allowing 100mm for the bitsand layer.
7. Concrete encases the tell-tale pipes and surrounds the sump.
8. Finished tank re-sealed and ready for use.
