RAWMAT® HDB » Type P Range
For below-ground structures, walls and roofing projects, the lining of small ponds and lagoons and the containment of fuels, oils and other hydrocarbons.
The P1 series of membranes are produced in rolls of 1m width, 5m long, and can be handled manually.
The P2 series of membranes are produced in rolls of 2m width, 50m long, and lend themselves to swifter coverage.
RAWMAT® HDB Type P can be used for small ponds, and Type P2 for the lining of large ponds, lagoons and canals.
RAWMAT® HDB Type P is laid with the woven geotextile in contact with the prepared substrate, and the non-woven geotextile uppermost.
Type P1 & P2 Structural
A factory pre-hydrated sodium bentonite membrane for the waterproofing of below ground structures in accordance with BS8102 : 1990 where no oversite blinding is used beneath the membrane, typically used in Structural Waterproofing applications.

Type P1 & P2 Landscaping
Type P1 & P2 Landscaping are used for the lining of small ponds and lagoons where the use of heavy machinery is impractical, typically used in Landscaping applications.

Type P1 & P2 Environmental
Type P1 & P2 Environmental are used to provide an effective barrier to prevent the seepage of any cooling oil or leachate into the ground below, used in conjunction with sand identification and stone fill layers. Typically used in Environmental Protection applications.

Type P1 & P2 Petrochemical
Type P1 & P2 Petrochemical are used to provide effective containment of contaminants, hydrocarbons and chemicals in new-build and retro-fit applications. Typically used in Petrochemical Lining applications.

- 1. Rolls of RAWMAT® HDB Type P laid onto contaminated prepared formation and overlapped to form impermeable barrier.
- 2. Once RAWMAT® HDB laid, Rawdrain 444 drainage composite installed above Rawmat as protection and to promote free drainage of bund floor.
- 3. RAWMAT® HDB and Rawdrain covered with 250mm layer of contaminated material previously stockpiled within bund.
- 4. Rawtex separation geotextile placed over contaminated fill to retain 50mm clean stone layer across bund floor.
- 5. Completed bund upgrade meets statutory regulations utilising contaminated ground from original bund floor. Costs minimised as no contaminated earth is needed to be sent to landfill.
